Get Out , 2017, Jordan Peele  I'm gonna start this review off by saying that Get Out is a great movie and anyone who hasn't seen it needs to. Jordan Peele is a great director and I love all his films. The 2017 horror/mystery who goes to his girlfriends home for the weekend when things go south. It turns out Chris, the main character, finds out his girlfriend Rose and her family lure in black men and switch their brain out with an elderly white person who pays the most. Chris's mission to escape is great and Peele does an awesome job and showing this journey. Daniel Kaluuya, who plays Chris, is one of my favorite actors and the way Peele uses close up shots with him are such amazing shots tha...

Marie Antionette Review

Marie Antionette , 2006, Sofia Coppola  Marie Antionette, directed by Sophia Coppola, is an interesting film to say the least. It was not my cup of tea but it was interesting trying to analyze the film. It is a good storyline and drama makes the movie fun to follow. The story follows an Austrian women who has an arranged marriage and becomes a French queen. Along the way she encounters the trouble of fitting in to a new culture, sleeping with her new husband, staying loyal to her husband, and the French Revolution. Coppola uses constant bright outfits and dresses on the characters which really makes the movie. There is always something happening, bright colors that standout to the audience, and a grea...

Rear Window Review

Image
Rear Window , 1954, Alfred Hitchcock Rear Window was a suspenseful thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The movie covers L.B. Jeffries who is stuck in a cast, due to injury, who starts watching his neighbors and their lives. He starts to clue together what he thinks is a potential murder. The movie overall was a little slow for me and I'm not really a fan of older movies. This movie still intrigued me because of how much the director was able to fit into still shots of a man watching his neighbors through his back window. It was truly incredible and that is what kept me watching the movie. The overall story is an interesting one and it helps keep the viewer on the edge of their seat. Hitchcock does a great job at leaving little cliffhangers to make the movie more suspenseful. Overall I would give this film a 7/10 and would recommend this movie to people who like suspense and older movies.
